Keenan Reimer-Watts (b. 1992) enjoys his life as a concert pianist, composer, improviser, teacher, chamber musician, concert curator, and as whatever else his career in music might require of him. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Keenan has experience playing from the concert halls on the East Coast, to the Cafes in Guelph, Ontario, and has collaborated and performed with musicians from a variety of genres. He has premiered more new music than he can remember, and is happy to give any genre of music a go.
Active as a composer, he has created 62 pieces for solo piano, many pieces for other solo instruments, chamber music, along with piano concertos for orchestra. Keenan frequently performs his music, including an hour-long set of piano variations modeled after the Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach, which can be found on YouTube. He has self-produced 4 albums, comprised of children’s piano music by Debussy, Bartok, and Schumann, synthesizer improvisations, poetry, and piano improvisations with electronic clips from all over the world. He is about to release his first professional album entirely comprised of his solo piano music. Recently he has taken up violin and plays with the bluegrass band Onion Honey. He’s happy to hear from anyone! Get in touch, download other compositions, and hear some music by going to reimerwattsmusic.com
