Gather the whole family for Over the Ocean to Canada, a spirited celebration of Celtic heritage and Canadian stories in song. This vibrant program features the Allison Lupton Band alongside orchestral works inspired by Scottish, Irish, and Welsh traditions, including MacMillan’s Fantasy on Scottish Melodies, Anderson’s Irish Suite, and German’s Welsh Rhapsody. Showcasing beloved folk tunes, toe-tapping rhythms, and the warm vocals of the Allison Lupton Band, it’s a relaxed and welcoming way to experience the power of live music.
Joining Allison for the concert is her acclaimed song-writing partner and multi-instrumentalist Craig Werth, North American fiddle champion Shane Cook, renowned bassist Joseph Phillips and CFMA Solo Instrumental Artist of the Year and 5X Canadian Open Step Dance Champion Kyle Waymouth.
The program will be lead by our new principal conductor, William Rowson.
